This is MATCH cinematographer Julian Robinet, absolutely fascinated by elements in motion and always living in the moment.

Julian was a professional windsurfer and still loves to shoot pictures and short films about the sport with his friends. Back then, they started selling their material to magazines and were asked to create more branded content for sports brands and other companies. That's how it began...

Julian loves the moment when the camera is finally rolling and being spontaneous. He reacts intuitively to changing surroundings, which is reflected in his style, ranging from rough, honest handheld to beautifully composed motion-driven imagery.  Being very collective-minded, he still frequently collaborates with friends and fellow artists. His editing skills help elaborate his strong vision and result in a profound understanding of each aspect that flows into the creation of a film.

Julian keeps his mind open and has his favorite spot in the desert of South Africa, eating cake with his wife or covering up to 1000km in just a few days on his bike. Julian always needs to keep moving, and that's a damn good thing - he's even managed to outrun a pack of street dogs in Istanbul. Anything can happen.
